Hard luck to the 1st yrs who lost their playoff final by a very narrow margin of 2 points. They had a good win against Kishoge, Lucan with a scoreline of 41-26.
The second game was against St.Raphaels Loughrea and this was a close contest throughout. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the final few scores to get through and into the semi finals. Final score was 32-30. Top scorers for Scoil Mhuire were K.O’Callaghan, F.Dorgan and H. Reilly.
Overall Ms E Doherty and Ms Barry are very proud of the whole squad who have done so well all year. There was a lot of training sessions at lunchtime and a few afterschool sessions too. Everyone added to the team and they achieved a lot for a group of players who have never played on a basketball team before. Hopefully next year we can go one step further and win the North East region trophy
